THE NEANDERTHALS - CAVEMAN JAMBOREE

I really was happy when guille from sleazy records asked me to do the sleeve-design for this record release: CAVEMAN JAMBOREE from the U.S. band "the neanderthals". HA! it was so clear for me to paint a cavemen couple dancing in front of a Stone-Age record Player!
i just was unsure about the technique.

first i did These sketches:




as soon as the concept was clear - i started to try out...
somehow i opted for cut-outs first - but then discarded it...




then i did the final drawing with brush and ink on paper:




but the bigger Problem was to find the right Color combination (as always!)



finally i stuck with this one...
